Humans have had a long history of using intelligence as a value system to determine humanity. Sometimes we want the smart people in certain positions, doctors, engineers. The dark side to this is that intelligence not only dicatates what people can do, it dictates what others can do to them.

those deemed less intelligent have, as a consequence of that judgment, been colonised, enslaved, murdered. Colonial argument: non-white people are less intelligent; they were therefore unqualified to rule over themselves and their lands.

It is therefore the white man’s burden to destroy cultures and take their territory. Same toxic logic was extended to women, too emotional to enjoy privileges men had.
