I& #39;m just remembering the weird thing that happened when I& #39;d ask for phone numbers while cashiering:

A Thread https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="™️" title="Registered-Trade-Mark-Symbol" aria-label="Emoji: Registered-Trade-Mark-Symbol">
I asked a man for his phone number. Her kept giving me 9 numbers. I tried to emphasize a phone number was 10 numbers and he couldn& #39;t remember which number he was missing.

Eventually, he got it. Maybe. I was taking his number as he was signing up for a store card.
"I don& #39;t remember my number. I don& #39;t call myself."

This was only in reference to cell phone numbers. Not home numbers. 99% of the time, if asked about a home number, they remembered it. But cell phone number??? No freaking clue
"Why do you need my phone number?!"

People don& #39;t trust that we aren& #39;t trying to sell their number. We just need it for when they don& #39;t bring in their store card.

They never brought their store card in after that. We always had to look up their number.
They& #39;d give me a number for their card. It wouldn& #39;t work. They& #39;d give me up to five numbers before I asked if they filled out a form we gave them.

"Oh. It& #39;s still on my kitchen table."
NOTE: This thread is full of typos and I& #39;m sorry. I& #39;ll also add more if I recall any. There& #39;s absolutely more, I promise.
