I run many more chats across various mcoc communities than I care to admit. I& #39;m in countless other mcoc rooms on top of that.

This is the sentiment I see more than any other. I& #39;m sure kabam put a lot of work into this road map, but this is the reaction it created. https://twitter.com/maladargaming/status/1390373948886425603">https://twitter.com/maladarga...
There& #39;s a weird squiggly, fuzzy line that I& #39;ve never been able to fully nail down between what& #39;s good for the game, what players want, and want kabam wants.
It& #39;s their game and they have full rights to do whatever they want, good or bad.
That said, it& #39;s also the players& #39; game. And tbh, players have more potential power in this relationship. I& #39;ve argued and discussed many things over the years about this game, but the one underlying theme was player access and input.
The simple truth is, players deserve a seat at some kind of table. And no, I& #39;m not talking ccp. No offense to ccp, but being representatives of the playerbase is not what the ccp was designed for and certainly not how it should be utilized.
You can track down every. single. enormous misstep that kabam has made to not knowing what their customers want (outside of shiny new champs). They& #39;re just disconnected. And I don& #39;t think they know how to fill that gap.
I can tell you from experience that many of those listened to by kabam have issues when it comes to approaching issues from viewpoints other than their own points of progress in game and their own goals. That& #39;s not the path to a great game.
And again, I& #39;m not pointing fingers or damning them. They do the best they are able to. It& #39;s just, kabam has their own ideas, and oftentimes just want people to reinforce them. I get that, I do. But it hasn& #39;t, and isn& #39;t working as intended (lol)
The playerbase is a monster. It& #39;s uncontrollable. It doesn& #39;t often know what it wants. But kabam spends more energy, time, and resources placating the wrong people and distracting others than it does making the game better. That works for a while, but not forever.
On top of that, kabam wants a long term winner... But they don& #39;t know how to accomplish that. Is it x # of new players per quarter? Is it sales? Is it happy veterans? Is it all of those? They run in 40 directions constantly in hopes of nailing it.
Kudos to them for trying to blaze their own path, it& #39;s been a wild success in reality. But at some point, ya gotta realize where the mistakes come in and work to not make the same mistakes over and over. Gleaning insight from the industry would be a great start.
They don& #39;t have enough other successes to just decide "this is the way it is, learn to love it". If you run the crucial segments of the playerbase off, you& #39;re just gonna die a slow death. New players don& #39;t suffice well enough
