Five years ago today we lost Jude to influenza B. He failed to develop immunity from his #FluShot and local immunization rates are low.

Today I got my first dose of #COVIDVaccine, and that could save someone else& #39;s family.

Like the flu, everyone who gets #COVID19 gets it from someone else. Your choice to get vaccinated doesn& #39;t only help protect you, it protects everyone you might come in contact with. No vaccine is a guarantee, but they& #39;re our best first defense. Thank you for doing your part. 2/7

This year has been hard and we& #39;ve lost a lot. When we get control of #COVID19 we& #39;ll get to start making up for lost time, but we& #39;ll never get our lost loved ones and neighbours back. It will never be okay that Jude is gone. He is missing from everything we do and that doesn& #39;t get better. It& #39;s been hard this year to watch so many Canadians lose their lives and loved ones. There& #39;s never a good time to lose someone, but #COVID19 has made everything harder. 5/7
