ok a little rant because i& #39;m kinda pissed https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤠" title="Gesicht mit Cowboyhut" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Cowboyhut">
okay so if you don& #39;t know the app "Qu0ra", good. don& #39;t get it. i was getting email notifications from it and it was making me so upset that i had to turn it off. i deleted the app as well. i don& #39;t hate the entirety of the app, but mostly the kpop side of it.+
it& #39;s basically an app where you ask questions, and i even saw someone say something along the lines of "i think it& #39;s okay to ask these kind of questions here, because i doubt idols go on this app anyway." like NO, just because the idol won& #39;t see it does not mean you can be toxic+
tw // mentions of depression and anxiety

they ask extremely disrespectful questions, such as "which idol do you hate the most?" "which idol does everyone like except for you?" and very very very personal questions as well, such as talking about idols depression and anxiety+
tw // mention of self-harm / scars

as well as going into detail about it. they ask which idol people think self-harms, they even share photos of idols& #39; potential self-harm scars..+
tw // mention of insecurity

what makes you think it& #39;s okay to look at them under a microscope and speculate every aspect of their life? when you could just ignore it and show them some love rather than making them feel even more insecure than they may already be about it?+
tw // talk about mental health for the rest of this thread

anyway, that wasn& #39;t really the whole point of why i& #39;m upset, i saw someone on there talk about idols who receive backlash for being open about mental health and struggles, which i feel the exact same way about+
tw // mention of extreme dieting and self-harm

people wonder why idols try to seem so perfect, it& #39;s because when they ARE open, so many people attack them, when they talk about things like extreme diets, and self-harm, i literally SEE people saying that they& #39;re "encouraging it"+
i can& #39;t stand watching these idols be treated as if they aren& #39;t human, i& #39;m sick of watching them look sad and tired, if you can& #39;t learn to respect an idols mental health, don& #39;t be a kpop stan. it& #39;s that simple. i absolutely hate when idols apologize for their mental health+
as if it& #39;s something they can control. how would you feel if you were feeling down and then were immediately demanded to apologize for it? it& #39;s SO disgusting. the upsetting thing is that it happens WAY more often than you think+
considering it gets to the point they are demanded to make a statement on it.

why is picking on these idols "funny" or "entertaining" until it happens to you? what happened to treating others the way you want to be treated+
