if you enjoy that content and are a casual listener and have no desire to explore further then fine. but if u truly are dedicated to that person especially to the point of stanning i do believe you should listen to what they are saying and creating. and if u explore ot7 music
JUST for a specific member you are severely misunderstanding their intent. they produce in a group because it is the way they prefer and creatively express themselves. when you reduce the skill they have by working with six of their best friends, brothers, soulmates, to simply
getting in the way or being inherently less interesting than their specific parts or lines, you cannot possibly understand that member, and especially not the messages they are trying to convey through their artistry. along with this, while we know many of the members have songs
on SoundCloud, promises of mixtapes, and mixtapes out in general, this is hardly scratching the surface. a bts song is a jimin song. and a jungkook, namjoon, yoongi, Jin, hoseok, and taehyung song. but my point is, these men are pursuing their careers as a group and holding out
for or “funding” mixtapes that have no specific release date and that are FREE anyways is pointless when you could be supporting their careers NOW which are and likely always will be with and through bts.
i apologize if this is incoherent rambly but i do not believe there is any “good” solo stan. you can be a casual listener but if you come to the point of stanning a specific member but do not respect the path they have chosen and the work they have put into projects that are
as much their groups as they are their own, as the two are one in the same, you are not a stan. you are disrespecting their goals, passions, artistry and intentions. this thread is less meant to bash solos (though i will happily do so) it is more meant to explain to armys who
maybe came here new believing these ideas or are confused as to what is wrong with them what the issues are.
also, when you focus solely on one member it often leads to following solo fan bases. even if YOU are “harmless” you are contributing to a larger culture that harms both the person you solo and the other members.
