Here& #39;s my journey into the Ontario Ministry of Education& #39;s Mathematics Proficiency Test (well, at least the practice test at https://www.mathproficiencytest.ca"> https://www.mathproficiencytest.ca ) that new grads need to pass in order to get their teaching certificate.
Let& #39;s have some fun, shall we?

Interesting, no calculators allowed during the first section. Not exactly sure how this will be enforced while grads write this online but okay whatever

What& #39;s with math tests and trains leaving stations?
This is one of those questions you stare at because you think there& #39;s gotta be a trick...
Obviously for this question I wanted to subtract the difference over and over again by pressing the equal sign on the calculator but they built this one specifically so it doesn& #39;t do that.
And that& #39;s how you troll math teachers.

Olga sounds like she& #39;d be a hit at parties.
I& #39;m actually super nervous about this part...
Don& #39;t ask the MoE Twitter account this one...
Yo these optional questions are probably THE MOST IMPORTANT AND TELLING of prospective teachers& #39; ability to teach math to young people...
That& #39;s it - I did 70+ questions and wish I had that time back. Hope you had fun too.
Full disclosure: I got 44/45 on the math questions, and 19/21 on the pedagogical component.
I hope I can still keep my job.
