The Ford government& #39;s paid sick leave proposal is the best option. If you start from the premise that you do not want to place additional burden on business at this time, expanding a federal program is the best and FASTEST solution.

The levers that a province has to administer something that can verify and then pay out within days/weeks vs months is non-existent. CERB is possible because the feds are able to start from the premise of trust and collect on the back-end bc they control Revenue Canada.
