Charlotte Linlin, the Captain of the big mom pirates and the Queen of Totland is one of the most misunderstood characters in One Piece. Because some of these basic ass fans refuse to look into her amazing and morally complex character. So I am gonna present her as best as I can
1. Her dream
Linlin has singlehandedly one of the greatest dreams in the one Piece verse. To unite all the races of the world. In the context of the One Piece verse it& #39;s a childish dream. And is she even capable of achieving it? No she isn& #39;t

Big Mom as presented by Oda is a childlike person. The world is black and white to her. There is good and bad. And for her whats is "good" is whatever she wants and "bad" is whatever defies her. Think of Lola, she escaped for a genuine reason. But Big Mom sees Lola
As a threat to her greater dream of having a meal with all the races. Lola is now defying her. From Linlin& #39;s perspective, Lola has chosen the bad side. She has no consideration For Lola& #39;s feeling and that& #39;s where she is wrong.
Her intentions
In her flashback we see Linlin put a wolf and a bear in the same cage so they can get along. And after the bear kills the wolf, Linlin kills the bear and starts crying. She never wanted to kill it she has empathetic qualities. At which point Carmel explains+

To her that, her desire for a greater good justified the killing of the bear. This is where the roots of her moral complexity comes from. She connects her sense of morality to Mother Carmel.
She saw Carmel gather people change them through meals and parties, Like Carmel+++

Changed her. Now that is exactly what she aims to do with these tea parties. I got this Idea from Joy boy theories. But, who does she invite to her party? Well to put it simply the most horrid people in the verse. Black market underworld people and her intention is to change them
Just like Carmel did. People call the tea party stupid and some influential people in the community still think it is. But look at this picture once again. The most horrid people on the planet gathered to have fucking tea. I know what you are thinking so let& #39;s touch on that
But what about all the innocent lives lost for her stupid tea party?
Oda made sure to focus on each Island Big Mom sent her people to get ingredients and also highlights their suffering. And Big Mom is wrong for what she did. But once again. Those people are going against +++

Well at least from her perspective, against the good guys. Those people are defying her plan to make the world better. So she thinks they deserved it.
As evidence look the Fishman Island. A country that defied her but another party took the blame so she never
As evidence look the Fishman Island. A country that defied her but another party took the blame so she never
Blamed the people of the Fishman Island. Cuz in the end she did not attack them. And let& #39;s be honest she can attack them even though an agreement was made if she is the person the fandom makes her out to be she would attack Fishman Island. In fact she is very honourable
When it comes to agreements and deals.
Q: why does she kill her children?
She does not, her hunger pangs does. The only time she plans to kill her kids is when they are the "bad" guys.

-Big Mom is someone with amazing dreams and Ideologies but her senses are disconnected from reality. Like when she wanted to kill the vinsmokes. Who were all horrible people standing in the way of her dream by causing destruction-. (Whole point here is from Joy boy theories)
So now the main question is, if she just wants good things to happen why not just express her intentions and be genuine? Like when she hit fake Brook and cried thinking she killed him ( in her bedroom ) well the answer to that is easy and complex at the same time.
In fact the entirety of WCI was about people being dishonest about who they were and what they wanted. All the way from Pudding to Katakuri to Sanji to even Pekoms. They also show reasons why they had to put on the masks they wore. Because what they wanted to achieve could only
Be achieved by presenting a side of them isn& #39;t genuine. Katakuri made lied about himself to protect his family Sanji to protect the strawhats. What they wanna achieve cannot be done by being honest
And the same applies for BM. Her messed up sense of morality suggests that she has to be dishonest and be menacing inorder to achieve her dream. The reason people show up to the tea party is out of fear. Reason why the BM pirates works so well is out of fear. The reason BM is
At the status and ranks she is in is out of fear. She realised that ruling through fear is what will get her dream to come true, inconsiderate of other peoples feelings
That is why she is still in the story, she is the last of the WCI characters that need expanding on
