For grammar, a lot of people like Tae Kim’s guide. Tae Kim has a LOT of explanations though and if reading lengthy explanations isn’t your thing (I have ADHD lol) then I highly recommend the Bunpo smartphone app for grammar lessons
When it comes to Duolingo-type apps, I have to say that I prefer LingoDeer for Japanese. Duolingo is great for the Romance languages but I think the structure LingoDeer provides for beginners is a bit better planned/executed than Duolingo (PLEASE DONT COME TO MY HOME OWL SIR)
Memrise is really good for learning vocabulary and kanji; people have made Genki-based courses on Memrise so if you want to use them for practice I highly recommend using them alongside the Genki books if you go with those
