So I just learned about Asper Kanojo. Which is apparently about a guy meeting a girl with Asperger& #39;s. Cautiously interested because intentional autistic representation is pretty uncommon in anime and manga, but I fear it may end up falling into bad tropes...
Depictions of autism are already pretty uncommon in media and accurate/favourable ones are vanishingly rare. After Sia& #39;s disgusting movie Music I& #39;ve been dying for something that represents people like me well.
It goes without saying that there is no one true autistic experience, it is called a spectrum for a reason. But so often we& #39;re portrayed as macguffins rather than real people, it& #39;s exhausting. https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoBestFriendsPlay/comments/9h0bss/ok_that_predator_autism_shit_is_making_me_mad_rant/">https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoBest...
