In terms of my journalistic work, I love every single day that I get to work with the people at @InvenGlobal and get to produce the content we do.

That said, however/whenever my editorial gig with Inven ends, it& #39;ll likely be my last foray into the profession

I was already thinking of leaving journalism at the tailend of my gig with VPE. I was tired of writing, mostly, and found that I had less and less time to study game and stories.

The only reason I joined Inven is because I KNEW I& #39;d be working with people I could call friends
This has 100% come true, and mentoring/editing/improving the @InvenGlobal newsroom and the content it produces is the only reason why I wake up excited about this job.

The people working with me are the closest to the crews I had back in http://GG.net"> http://GG.net  and Cybersport
Everyone is in sync, eager to learn and it& #39;s a pleasure to teach them.

That said:

1) This is a thankless job and idk how much more I have it in me to keep doing it

2) Modern-day esports journalism has mutated and a lot of is is exactly what I DONT want to do
There are fantastic writers EVERYWHERE but I see more and more what content people want and don& #39;t want to read, which makes me lose faith in the profession and the society it& #39;s meant to serve
Journalism is already a soul-sucking job to do and I admire the people that have survived it and doing well and making a living out of it.

But there are fewer and fewer reasons I find each day to keep going.

The minds I work with at @InvenGlobal are what keep me motivated
And yes, I know this thread has a very "OK Boomer" feel
