Sorry. I might lose followers for this or incite the trolls or upset people but...if I don& #39;t tell you who will?

If the shoe fits, wear it. If it doesn& #39;t move along.

Every single person I& #39;ve seen complaining about indieapril has one or more of these problems:
Reasons you may not be getting sales:
Bad cover
Mistakes or bad grammar on your first few pages
No marketing knowledge
No platform
Not willing to work hard to get it
Unwilling to support others
Begging/pleading/griping
Spamming the tags too much
Spamming the wrong tags
Getting angry at people
Not conducting yourself as a professional
Not understanding you are a small business
I mean, I& #39;m sorry if you& #39;re not getting sales. Even the ones doing it all right are struggling right now. The market is FLOODED so even if you are perfect you aren& #39;t getting sales. Big hugs, it stinks, I know you& #39;re depending on them, so am I.
But if you& #39;re not willing to look at it from the standpoint of my marketing is not working and what can I do to fix it, you will never get sales. Blaming other people for not buying your work is not going to help anything. Get out there and figure out what you& #39;re doing wrong.
And I& #39;m sorry if that stings anyone. I want to be the one to lift you up and support you and help you succeed. But to do that I have to be honest. Feeding you lies about how perfect you are does not help you.
Also if your timeline is more than 10% of posts talking about/pitching/advertising your own book people aren& #39;t going to follow you because that& #39;s boring.
AND if you don& #39;t know what half of these things are in this thread...that& #39;s your problem. Sorry. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đŸ„ș" title="Pleading face" aria-label="Emoji: Pleading face">

*Also: Only applies to people expecting large amount of sales. If you& #39;re a hobbiest writer happy with a few sales here and there you really don& #39;t need all of this.
