As the #txlege considers legislation to punish cities that #DefundPolice, the @ACLUTx did an analysis of past budgets (& #39;08-& #39;17) to see what cities would be affected.

*Arlington ↓ its budget in 2010, & #39;12, and 13.
*Corpus Chrisi ↓ its budget in 2010, & #39;12, & #39;13, and & #39;16.

*Dallas ↓ its police budget in 2011, & #39;12, and & #39;13
*Garland ↓ in 2011, & #39;13, and & #39;15
*El Paso ↓ in 2010, & #39;14, and by 10% in 2017
Houston ↓ in 2010, & #39;11, & #39;12, and & #39;15
Lubbock ↓ in 2011, & #39;15, and & #39;17
San Antonio ↓ in 2011

This is being done to punish Austin. But if it& #39;d been in place over the last decade, *many* other cities would have been affected. In fact, over the period analyzed (& #39;08-& #39;17), Austin didn& #39;t ↓ its police budget once.
