And also the fear of never being able to look his Dice family into their eyes ever again (yes..they do actually exist) because of what he did..causing deaths. He thinks they& #39;ll never forgive him so he just ran away and has been living on the streets ever since.
Saihara hasn& #39;t seen Ouma since that moment he gave him the remote control to the hangar before he died. Ouma requested that no one is allowed to visit him after they woke up. He was scared to face anyone because he thinks he deserves to be alone after everything.
When Saihara sees him, his heart shatters at the sight of the poor boy. Starved, wet due to the rain, pale..not a trace of the happy, energetic boy he once knew. Ouma starts running away, not wanting to face Saihara of all people. Because he still loves him.
Saihara runs after him, tackling him on the ground and demands an explanation. Ouma yells at him to leave him alone but Saihara doesn& #39;t give up. He gave up once. He won& #39;t do it again. After a brief fight, Ouma tells him about being homeless-
And Saihara tells him to come live with him as he lives alone. Ouma refuses but again.. Saihara doesn& #39;t drop this and he practically forces Ouma to come with him. Saihara is determined to finally understand the mysterious boy.
Ouma feels uncomfortable for a long time, not liking to depend on someone. Saihara takes care of him, buys him all the new clothes, makes sure he doesn& #39;t miss anything. His family is super rich so its basically nothing to him. He wants to spoil Ouma to the MAX.
But Ouma doesn& #39;t care about all the material stuff. He is afraid that Saihara will think Ouma is taking advantage of him for his money so he refuses everything. But Saihara knows this and keeps spoiling him regardless.
Ouma also requests that his stay at Saihara& #39;s place stays a secret. He knows everyone hates him. He is afraid they will stop trusting Saihara too if they realize the two of them now live together. He doesn& #39;t want to be guilty for Saihara losing friends.
Saihara doesn& #39;t even tell this to his best friend Kaito. Not because he doesn& #39;t trust him..but because of a promise he made to Ouma. Hiding him sometimes becomes tricky. When his friends come unannounced..Ouma has to hide and stay unnoticed.
Trying to keep his mask on while living with the man he loves becomes harder and harder and he catches himself slipping more often than he& #39;d like. Saihara notices this as the two of them bond slowly. Ouma also has nightmares.
He is traumatized by the events of the game and his own past. He sometimes wakes up with a panic attack..and Saihara just hugs him, holds him till he falls asleep. They aren& #39;t a couple but Saihara is falling for the, under all that facade, meek boy.
Its a bittersweet feeling for Ouma. He loves being held by his beloved..it calms him down.. But then he remembers that Saihara most likely only sees him as a friend and then it starts hurting him.
Saihara on the other hand is denying his feelings. "Am I really falling for him? No.. I& #39;m just worried..and curious about him.. I can& #39;t possibly be developing such feelings ...for another boy..can I...?"
But the feelings keep growing and denying it becomes harder. Ouma wakes up one night from a harsh nightmare..he can& #39;t calm down. He is sobbing. Saihara sits him down on his lap. They both cry together. Ouma cries because of the nightmare..
Saihara cries because it hurts him to see Ouma suffering. He has to distract him..without thinking he takes his face in his hands and gently kisses his lips, finally feeling the small boy stop shaking in his arms. He didn& #39;t think this through..
But the fact Ouma kissed him back..gave him a sense or relief. They kiss for what seems like forever. When the kiss finally breaks, Saihara opens his mouth but Ouma stops him..placing his finger across his lips to signalize that words are unnecessary.
The golden eye boy understands..embraces him into his arms and lays down.. As they fall asleep holding each other. Saihara plays with Ouma& #39;s hair, twirling the strands around his fingers, staying awake. He doesn& #39;t want to fall asleep until Ouma does.
Only then will he feel sound enough to fall asleep as well. Once he knows the shorter boy is okay again. He just looks at him, admiring his beauty, being happy that he looks healthy again.

Saihara slowly helps him reconnect with Dice members too who turns out haven& #39;t evem been angry at him at all aside from the fact that he ran away...they were worried about him.
