Seeing certain fans gush about less the bare minimum as far as main romances go really highlights just how consistent and fantastic the writing of the Emilia/Subaru romance is to the point where every arc explores another facet of it, and adds to their overall relationship.

So many segments of the story are dedicated to exploring how much they impact, mold and develop from this relationship from each other, the growth is steady and extremely organic, the unhealthy and toxic side of it is addressed and overcome and it truly feels like it matters.

They& #39;re also both their own characters with their own separate story and arc while also being an absolute unit who compliment each other and push the other to be the best version of themselves imaginable. It& #39;s genuinely a really well crafted relationship, and it& #39;s shown.

I personally don& #39;t enjoy it as much as a lot of other people but that& #39;s only because it& #39;s not particularly to my taste but I can still respect it a lot from a writing-standpoint and seeing people gush about scraps actually makes me appreciate it a lot more.
