(1/3) Keep seeing folks announcing that they& #39;ve left their job on a Friday and starting the new one on a Monday. For some, it may be an income issue and they don& #39;t have a choice. For everyone else, TAKE SOME TIME OFF.

(2/3) Companies always pressure folks to start immediately. If they want you enough to make an offer, I& #39;ll assure you they will wait a week or two, and the opportunity to have time without a job-related to-do list on your mind doesn& #39;t come along very often for most.

(3/3) Even a week will help you decompress and come into the new role with renewed energy and a better perspective. You& #39;ll be better for it, and you and the company both win. Trust me - the new job can wait just a tiny bit.
