I see the above a lot in lazy approaches common in b-school students, opposite to good data collection. Responsible data collection does not utilize one& #39;s own biased view to craft leading questions to force answers into fields that validate what you already believe without data..

surveys pop up every 30 seconds in b-school and most are "garbage in, garbage out"

..instead if one is still in a hypothesis-generating stage you understand context, explore drivers, be open to hear the opposite of what one believes.

Surveys based on a hunch are...trash.
