Yukimaru Ichijo is one of the new characters that I’m really excited to see more of in this upcoming WT arc. Here’s why:

1. He is pretty much confirmed to be one of borders highest ranked attackers. In chapter 160 Torimaru says the No. 6 attacker is either Iko or Yukimaru (we now know that it’s Iko) so we know he has above 10k points and is either the No. 5 or 7 attacker with above 10k points.

2. He has a very unique trigger set and dual wields raygust and has a custom thruster, which instantly makes him stand out to me. Raygust is very unpopular among attackers and we rarely see it used and even when it is used it’s usually just for a shield (Osamu/Ko).

Having a unique trigger set like this will inevitably mean that Yukimaru will have a very unique/dynamic fighting style and will most likely be the best Raygust user in border.

Lastly but most importantly from what we’ve seen of Yukimaru he just seems like a very fun character that probably loves to battle. He seemed very excited when Yuitsuka claimed that Yuma and Hyuse were stronger than their own squad. Almost like he couldn’t wait to battle them.

Also him being a Raygust user I think there’s a possibility he’ll be able to teach Osamu a few things later on in the story. Nevertheless I’m very excited to see more of him in the future for all the reasons I stated plus the fact Ashihara just never misses with his characters.
