it& #39;s genuinely incredible when a song is so good that it inspires ppl to edit smth to it but like. yeah sometimes it feels like ppl do not consider artistic intent or at a base level just the LYRICS OF THE SONG and it& #39;s odd

music is for everyone to enjoy of COURSE i just feel like there is a lack of understanding sometimes especially with female artists of color re: intent of the song. idk. some songs are indeed deeper than Yearn Edit or Fun R&B/Hip Hop Edit

i just think there are other mitski songs (PINK IN THE NIGHT) one could edit yearny white men to (PINK IN THE NIGHT) without incorporating lyrics that explicitly describe what it& #39;s like to be in love w a white person when ur a woc (PINK IN THE NIGHT)

Also i do not want to speak over black women i am not an authority on this but what r u people doing editing randos to songs about celebrating black womanhood
