1/ One of the best things @BankMercury has done this year is open our Canada office. In the 5 months since I tweeted this we have hired:

- 6 customer support
- 5 engineers
- 1 BD
- 1 writer

2/ Overall incorporating in Canada took less than a month and everything was taken care of by Airds and Berlis ( https://www.airdberlis.com/ ).

Ironically,">https://www.airdberlis.com/">... the hardest part was getting a Canadian bank account. Canadian startups often ask us to launch in Canada and now I see why!

3/ One of the primary motivators to setting up in Canada was to have access to a much better immigration/visa system than the US.

We have so far hired one engineer from Brazil who is moving to Toronto and plan to do more.

4/ There is a lot of great, reasonably priced talent in Canada.

We have also found that people are helpful, humble and customer friendly which aligns closely with Mercury& #39;s value.

I have been telling entrepreneurs everywhere that they should open Canadian offices.
