I would (ONCE AGAIN) be so grateful to be able to GO SOMEWHERE ELSE and work today. I have a room booked for the first week of December, but I don& #39;t really want to just go away entirely to work. I just want to go away FOR THE DAY. Possibly every day for a week, sure, but...
I was talking to Ted about how I didn& #39;t so much want to run away entirely to work, I just wanted somewhere I could GO to work without interruption for a while, & he started looking up office hotspots/desks/workspaces/whatever. Not permanent spaces, but a couple days a week like.
Which I hadn& #39;t really been considering in my previous searches for office space, bc I was thinking in terms of, y& #39;know, MOVING EVERYTHING to an office, as opposed to the "going to the coffee shop with the laptop" model.
& on one hand, 10 days a month at a hotspot office isn& #39;t exactly cheap. OTOH, it& #39;s quite a lot cheaper than a week at a hotel & doesn& #39;t blow my wad all at once. I don& #39;t even really NEED a private office, except I want to be as far away from other filthy humans as possible.
& OT3H, if I had 10 days of uninterrupted writing a month I could write a paranormal romance in that time, which would more than pay for the money spent on the office.

It could also give me uninterrupted REVISING time. I hate revising, guys. I really hate it.
And I hate it even more, to the point of "I won& #39;t do it until the night before it& #39;s due" levels of resistance, if I believe I& #39;m going to be interrupted while working on it. Which of course I always am at home. So it& #39;d be worth it all by itself on that level. :p
