Spent the day DECLUTTERING myself of information which makes me write this quickfire thread
on #DECLUTTERING & #STREAMLINING digital information.

Disclaimer : Yes, I do see the irony in me adding to the gamut of information already available ! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🙂" title="Leicht lächelndes Gesicht" aria-label="Emoji: Leicht lächelndes Gesicht">

In the earlier times INFORMATION was an asset .
Today, KNOWING HOW TO USE INFORMATION to our advantage has become an asset .

There is too much of Information ( mostly repetitive) and NOISE all around us.

Then there is also CONTENT FATIGUE .
Most of the times we are overwhelmed with information whereby even QUALITY INFORMATION is not absorbed by us . https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤷" title="Person shrugging" aria-label="Emoji: Person shrugging">
What use would information be of, if not accompanied with critical thinking?

I follow these simple steps that help me assimilate information and learn .

1) #Skim & #Scan through the information before bookmarking it .
Only if it catches my attention in the first 20 seconds ,do I bookmark it .

2) Once bookmarked I try to #READ IT ASAP.

3) I MAKE #NOTES of it . Few important pointers & then I delete the message. Unless absolutely critical I don& #39;t save . Only adds to clutter. #Writing helps in CLARITY.

4) I follow few. Helps me scroll through quickly & PRIORITISE.
I check LISTS & SUBS weekly .

5)Reading helps a lot but I also ensure to practically IMPLEMENT it.

ONLY THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE without PRACTICAL application doesn& #39;t help beyond a point.

6) I do a weekly BRAIN DUMP. Helps me immensely in PRIORITISING as I have varied interests .

7) I ensure quality time AWAY FROM SOCIAL MEDIA amidst nature or doing what I like . Helps me recharge my mind & detox myself. Much needed!
