I used the techniques from my forthcoming book Drawing for Learning to learn Professor Roberts& #39; @theAliceRoberts anatomy lesson by heart. I can recite 95% of the first part of this lecture after 24 hours despite having no medical knowledge. https://youtu.be/kluDvUIEb5o ">https://youtu.be/kluDvUIEb... I copied the drawn anatomy lecture in real time. Then I used my Syllable Associated Drawing, SAD drawing to learn the key terminology. I repeated the exercise three times in spaced intervals, drawing each stage again.
Then I left it for 7 hours. I tried to recite key words in my head. Then I tested myself again.
Finally, 24 hours later I tested myself and scored really highly. Each time I repeated it I got better.
Q. Is this time efficient?
A. No, probably not in a demanding timetable. But we learn at our own pace regardless of what is expected. When I worked with medical students it was clear to me that there were varying degrees of retention. This method could really help many students.
