Hi, I am a doctor and I’ll try to explain BTS Suga’s condition in a simple way.
He was diagnosed with POSTERIOR LABRAL TEAR OF THE SHOULDER.

How does one get a labral tear?
1) From old age
2) From accidents
As we all know, SUGA had an accident during his pre-debut days and had a shoulder dislocation. Sadly, shoulder dislocations are associated with labral tears

Since the cartilage or the rubbery stuff that stabilizes our shoulder joint is injured, it usually does not heal back into the right location.

This leads to an unstable joint. No wonder he had chronic pain.

How to treat labrum tears?
1) Medications for the inflammation (pain relievers)
2) Ice application
3) Rest — which he cannot do while having an active career
4) Physical therapy
5) Surgery

From how I understand it, they did an ARTHROSCOPIC SURGERY for Suga.
It uses a tiny camera to examine and also repair the cartilage tear. The incision is just small

When will SUGA recover?
1) From 0 weeks to until 4 weeks — immobilized with sling (I think you already know this if you had a friend who had a fracture
He cannot move the affected area for 4 weeks. Extreme movements are avoided for 4-6 weeks

Maybe we could see him in 3 months but only with minimal movements and notice that he will be cautious.
