Fun story: I joined Twitter in 2013 because I was furious at my MP @bobzimmermp and it seemed like the best platform to let him know. Flash forward to 2018 when I was elected to local government in his his riding and was scheduled to meet him elected official to elected official.

I was nervous because I thought he might remember my critical tweets from years before. Turns out, he didn’t remember me nor care who I was. In my first meeting with my MP he mistook me, as the only young woman in the room, for the Mayor’s assistant.

Avoided eye contact with me when he shook my hand, forgot my name, and handed me a thumb drive and asked me to load up his presentation on the screen. I was in a room with a dozen other elected officials.

Prince George friends, If you think today is the first time your MP for Prince George-Peace River has embarrassed you by advocating an incredibly socially regressive position, you haven’t been paying attention. Vote him out at any opportunity you get.

Correction, I was elected in 2014.
