It was never a question of whether Özil was talented or good enough. It has always been about his commitment. Özil was given his chance to prove himself to the manager. He played a good ten games after the said comments were made.

Can& #39;t be arsed with a player who doesn& #39;t step up for the club when it needed him the most. Arsenal were going through a really tough transition, really struggling in there; and Özil doesn& #39;t even perform at the levels expected by the manager.
