Criticising Islam, the Quran or the Prophet is not hate speech. All it& #39;s showing you is how pathetic, overly sensitive and childish you are. It& #39;s the 21st century. People don& #39;t need to respect religion if they don& #39;t want to. If you can& #39;t deal, tough.
Salman Rushdie, the Innocence of Muslims film, Charlie Hebdo, the beheading; there is an obvious streak of intolerance within modern Islam that can& #39;t just be reduced to extremism. We& #39;re talking about millions here.
There are plenty of countries where mockery of Islam results in murder. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Afghanistan; all these societies have witnessed shocking atrocities of secular voices.
This intolerance isn& #39;t confined to Muslims; it exists in India with a lot of Hindus, in Myanmar with a lot of Buddhists. Religion breeds contempt for dissent and rationality. It fears it.
