I’M SORRY to all those who are uninterested, but i’m gonna make another thread about a favorite sheep of mine because he has stood out since he was a lamb and i love him. It is naturally the ram numbered 32 https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="💕" title="Zwei Herzen" aria-label="Emoji: Zwei Herzen">
When 32 was very young, he was rejected by his mom. He would cry out for his mama, i would carry him around and try to find her, and none of the ewes showed any interest. So 32 was a bottle baby, and would be glued to your heels when you’d walk around.
To avoid tripping over him, I would simply carry him with me while doing chores in there. He quickly became social, super curious, and just loved to be around you. He would stand and bite my jacket for easily an hour without getting bored. (He’s the one gnawing my zipper)
As he grew, he became feistier. He would headbutt anything. He’d rub his head on your lower legs for attention, and anything that moved was begging to have its ass kicked, the hay bag moreso than anything else
Nothing was too big to fight! When he’d get too annoying, i’d pick him up and hold him like a newborn baby rather than how i’d hold a lamb. That seemed to humble him for a little while.
When fall came around, he was still too small for slaughter, so he became part of a small bachelor crew along with an older, bigger ram. During this time, he was still that feisty lamb, but in a bigger package.
His demanding personality became more and more pronounced. As a lamb he would try to headbutt for attention so he could have the bottle again, as a hormonal teen he just demanded attention. Withholding it was a huge provocation and very funny.
That’s not to say he wasn’t very, very sweet. He would never charge at you. When i walked by to do chores, i’d give him a kiss on the nose. It got to the point where i could yell ”kiss!” from the other end of the room and he’d stick his head out.
this are horrible, blurry stills from a snapchat vid of the bachelors, just to try and show the size difference between him this winter, and the older ram. 32 is the one i’m petting in the first one.
The pic above is roughly the size he was last time i saw him, this spring when he moved out to the summer pastures. It’s now late october and the little shit damn near doubled in size. He’s now bigger than the oldest ram. My little boy’s all grown.

He’s stopped headbutting.
