Forecasts project winds in the region to be as strong or stronger than those present during 2019& #39;s devastating Kincade Fire and the 2017 wine country fires. Combined with record-low moisture levels, these winds are expected to create the most dangerous weather so far this year 2/

. @PGE4Me has told the City that it anticipates 1,500 Berkeley customers will likely be impacted by the #PSPS. We expect the area east of Claremont and around Panoramic Hill to be affected.

We have activated our Emergency Operations Center and increase fire resources and police patrols in the hills. A Fire/Forestry task force will be ready to rapidly respond to downed trees blocking evacuation routes.
