Rutherford was quite active in the 2015 Jacksonville Mayor& #39;s race. He did everything he could to get the first black mayor fired. In 2015 he had this to say to @FCN2go

Since that time Rutherford was given a promotion to Congress and Curry and his Sherrif that he ran with as a ticket have been re-elected. JSO has experienced a windfall since then. This is what we got for our money.

More violent crime, more murder, and somehow more money gets shoveled into JSO& #39;s coffers with zero accountability.

It& #39;s shocking that Mike Williams is still employed.
It& #39;s not shocking that John Rutherford is the strongest possible supporter of a Nazi game show host.

I just want to circle back to point out how bananas this was. Rutherford was doing a very bad job keeping Jacksonville residents from being murdered and he blamed the black mayor for it. The black mayor was fired and Rutherford got a promotion and nothing changed.
