Why you should read Marie Lu& #39;s books: a thread
1) She is an author of color and we need to support more diverse authors!! and she is also an amazing person
2) Writing: Her writing is IMMACULATE. You will never ever get bored while reading her books bc they will get you hooked
3) Plots: The plots in her books are very original and super fun to read, if you& #39;re looking for a book with a lot of plot twists, Marie Lu& #39;s books should be on the top of your list
4) World-building: one word: AMAZING!! You learn more about the worlds as you read the series, she doesn& #39;t dump info on you as soon as you start reading. the worlds are original and fascinating
5) Characters: PERFECT! They all have so much depth and very original personalities. You will get attached to them and love them with all your heart. and side characters aren& #39;t just there for the sake of the plot, we learn more and more about them as we read on
6) Characters pt.2: If you& #39;re looking for really smart characters read Legend, if you& #39;re looking for morally grey characters read The Young Elites, if you& #39;re looking for SUPER cool characters read Warcross
7) Range: She has fantasy, dystopian and sci-fi book series
8) Relationships: The friendships and romantic relationships in her books are FANTASTIC!! I guarantee you that they will make you cry and scream and laugh
9) Diversity: A lot of her characters are poc and the majority isn& #39;t white like some other ya books out there!!
10) Endings: Every single one of her endings broke me. I never expected any of them and they made me sob for hours
11) She always reaches out to her fans and is always super nice to them
12) Feels: Let me tell you, I can& #39;t count how many times her books made me cry, they& #39;re too good
13) last but not least: you should read her books bc I told you so. now go put her books on your tbr
