Again, fandom politics is the last place I want to be, but as someone who& #39;s supported #WynonnaEarp and met many dear friends amongst #Earpers - it feels wrong to remain silent.

What& #39;s happened is atrocious, illegal, and homophobic.
A fandom, much like a community, is not a hive mind. Saying "this isn& #39;t us" or "Earpers aren& #39;t like this" is simply not true. A select group, regardless of size, has mounted a campaign of cyber bullying for FIVE YEARS. Violating the safety of a public figure who is blameless.
The legalities are better left for someone who understands criminal cyber bullying laws in Canada. And stalking because tracking down someone& #39;s dog park is...there are no words. Pathetic? Terrifying? Illegal?
I don& #39;t see how we can ever have conventions again. The internet provides anonymity that means people can hide (and there are MANY - not just those involved in this cyber bullying - people behave inappropriately constantly). It& #39;s not safe for ANY OF US anymore.
This community, this majority queer community, has committed an act of biphobia that transcends ignorance. You have attacked a queer woman. You have attacked her marriage (which is queer because SHE IS IN IT). You have violated a sacred safe space.
False accusations of sexual assault make it WORSE for actual victims. Your noble crusade in the name of...what...feminism? Has harmed women. In this community. Actual survivors.
I don& #39;t care if the perpetrators were young. A child knows it& #39;s wrong to bully other people. Stalking behaviour, predatory behaviour, going after a stranger& #39;s FAMILY?

KB and RG are stronger than I. I hope they pursue legal action. I hope they are safe.
All to say - I& #39;m not sure if there& #39;s any coming back from this. Personally, I will continue watching and supporting the work of a cast and crew who have been nothing but gracious and generous of themselves.

As for the community? There are monsters among us. Nothing feels safe.
