I’m testing out the 2021 Cadillac Escalade this week, and i can’t get over how dangerously huge this vehicle is. This is so unnecessary.
We think of our blindspots as being to the left and right of us, but the area in front of the grille is turning out to be an equally dangerous blindspot, if not more so due to the bloat in the SUV and truck industry. https://www.theverge.com/2020/1/14/21065319/suv-truck-front-blindspot-children-injury-death-wthr-13">https://www.theverge.com/2020/1/14...
There’s a lot to like about the new Escalade, including sensor-enabled safety tech. But in my opinion the sheer dimensions of this vehicle are a liability and undermine the commitment to safety.

I’ll have more to say in my write-up next week...
