super interesting: people who had peak/non-dual/transcendental experiences reported a significant decrease in thoughts afterwards
they also went from a localized to a non-localized sense of self
they also reported experiencing significantly fewer emotions and even when upset returned to high baseline wellbeing very quickly
this one’s really interesting: people who were “further along” on the non-dual continuum reported feeling almost no sense of agency, even as they continued to hold demanding jobs and function in challenging environments
also despite experiencing extreme *internal* change, most people who had these experiences remained outwardly pretty much exactly the same https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤷🏻‍♀️" title="Achselzuckende Frau (heller Hautton)" aria-label="Emoji: Achselzuckende Frau (heller Hautton)">
@jeremygiffon sent me this! I had a similar experience several months ago, had no clue at the time what non-duality was and tbh thought this entire category of thing was bullshit. obviously I’ve changed my mind https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😅" title="Lächelndes Gesicht mit offenem Mund und Angstschweiß" aria-label="Emoji: Lächelndes Gesicht mit offenem Mund und Angstschweiß">
