I’m going to put a little perspective together in this #thread in the hope that you value your most precious asset

To help you think a little about how you manage yourself.

What Makes Humans Stand Out From The Rest?

{ THREAD }
It’s a question that has caused many debates amongst evolutionary scientists and humans in general alike.

There are many scientific standards that outline this due to the size of our brains and the different parts our brains function at.
However, I’m looking at the philosophical sense here and want to bring forward a concept that I think about quite a lot that helps me manage myself accordingly whenever I’m losing momentum.

We all have days when we don’t feel like doing what we set out to do.
This is natural and it’s important to instil a routine to help you manage yourself accordingly when momentum is dwindling slightly.

For me, in order to keep the momentum going, I set aside time in the morning to go over why it is I am doing what I set out to do.
Often, I think about time and what it means to me overall.

You see time is what set’s us out from every other species on this planet. We have effectively discovered the concept of it, unlike any other creature.

This makes us very peculiar indeed.
To be aware of our own mortality is the consequence of this discovery as it puts time into perspective.

You see we are the only creature that can extend our thought process and effectively see into the future, in an abstract way of thought so to speak.
This is very unique to us and I often think about this with varying angles of thought.

However, the primary mode of thinking is always how you conduct yourself NOW affects WHERE your future self will be.
Taking care of yourself now is looking after your future self and others who will be around you.

Look at it like this. You are not one person from the concept of time. You are a group of people extended over time.

Don’t believe me?
Look back at yourself 10 years. Are you the same person now as you were back then.

Absolutely not.

Sure, you might look similar but your thought process and situations are not the same.
So by acting in the best interest of your future self, you need to sacrifice some of the present version of yourself.

And this isn’t always easy. Which is why I like to look at it in this way.

Now ask yourself this? Do you want to be where you are now, in 10 years time?
If the answer is yes, then these emails aren’t for you and I would suggest you save yourself some heartache and unsubscribe.

If the answer is absolutely f’ing not, excellent. We are on the same page.

So in order to look after yourself later, you need to sacrifice now.
Want more money later, spend less and earn more now.

Want more free time in the future, use the time now to create something that increases your income.

Want your future self to be healthy, then spend time now getting fit and eating healthy.
Time goes quickly.

By offering time now to do the things that are important, you essentially bargain with the future for a better version of yourself.

How you act now has to be in harmony with what you want tomorrow.
It’s crazy how simple it is yet so many fail to act on it.

The reality is simple. No action now leads to misery later on.

You have to make sacrifices in order to make the best out of life. It’s that simple.
You have it in you to be the best you can be.

Put in the work now.

Remember, we only have one shot at this life. Make it your best by making sacrifices now.

You owe it to you.

The future version of you.

Go after it :)
