According to the criminal complaint, the defendants conspired to kidnap Whitmer and try her for treason. The defendants, who "complained about the judicial system and the State of Michigan controlling the opening of gyms," are alleged to have taken overt steps in their plot.
The complaint alleges that the group conducted surveillance of Whitmer& #39;s vacation home.
