Unprivating cause this is important enough to discuss given how often it comes up.

All four unis I& #39;ve gone to have offered training.

Better Q& #39;s: Are students aware it exists? Are students encourage/discouraged from it? Why is it that male anthros seem unaware for some reason? https://twitter.com/Hanelizqui/status/1313132128608059395">https://twitter.com/Hanelizqu...
Things in this thread I want to address ::
- Just ask high school teachers!!!
- No the hell you should not. Not unless you& #39;re paying them as a consultant. Stop asking for unpaid labor.

Looking at you, dude who attends a uni with one of the largest teaching centers in Canada.
- I just ask my exgfs because they all went into consulting.
- How did they get training? Why aren& #39;t you researching it? Are u paying them for their consulting which is literally their job? Why are you using your position as an ex when you& #39;ve a PhD & have proven you can research?
- The insinuation every time that pedagogy is somehow below the higher ed level.
- No, and pedagogy is a whole not only field of research but if you& #39;re in the US or the UK, I 100% promise you these training opportunities are there. 100%. Even if you have to look, gasp, online!
- Its not offered in my *department*.
- Okay, because you& #39;re probably not in a department where anyone is actually qualified to TEACH on it. Look in your Ed department, look at your teaching center, again - these resources exist. Find them. They are there.
