I don& #39;t think it& #39;s healthy to spend energy wishing for anyone to die - it cheapens the soul more than most anxieties about things you can& #39;t affect - but it is silly to act like it& #39;s inappropriate to make jokes, which is all these are, about a man who respects nobody.

I admit I& #39;m not sure if this guy dying will fix much. Pence is just as evil and better at making it sound respectable. Trump is only a symptom of the disease and it terrifies me that we& #39;re already seeing the center-left bending over to praise him.

I remember hoping 4 years of Trump would energize the left in opposition but the focus on Trump alone has backfired on some people to the point that this thread got a nastygram from someone who seems to think passively hoping for him to die is somehow fighting oppression
