into the electoral process, & cast doubt on our election. The GOP claims that the intent is to only study the election afterwards, yet the language of the Resolution does not preclude them from using their power for political purposes in the midst of the 2020 election. 2/12
To date, they’ve refused to put language within the Resolution stating it would not go in affect until after the election. I wonder why they would refuse to include language which aligns with their expressed intent? Yeah, nothing to see here folks. 3/12
HR 1032 would form an Election “Integrity” Commission with 3 Republicans & 2 Democrats, all of whom would be selected by the GOP Chair. It provides broad subpoena power which lies solely with the GOP Chair, with Dems not having any input whatsoever. 4/12
Elections have always been supervised by the Secretary of State & non-partisan Election Administrators. This is a GOP attempt to take power away from them.
Because this a Resolution, please note, this will not go before Gov. Wolf, thus cannot be vetoed. 5/12

This Committee would have the power to create doubt about our votes, which can benefit Trump, who has made clear that he will contest the results if he loses, and wants the stacked Supreme Court to decide who wins. 6/12
This won’t be up for a vote until later in the month. Please call your PA Rep. & let them know we don’t want a partisan GOP led Election “Integrity” Committee, particularly when the members of that very committee are running for office & have a personal stake in the game. 7/12
Please let your PA State Representatives know that you will not tolerate this power grab. Here is a link that will determine your PA Rep. & also provides contact numbers: https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegislator/">https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/le... . 8/12
Below is a list PA GOP House members who voted to form the committee. Tell them, if it is intended to study the election after it occurs, they MUST clearly state within Res. 1032, that it will not take affect until at least Dec. 15. Otherwise, their true intent is evident. 9/12
Within 24 hrs. of Trump “citing” vote-by-mail fraud in PA, which has been refuted by PA’s Election Chief, the GOP decided to form this Committee. Yet, in a court case in PA, the 524 page response by the Trump Campaign was unable to cite one example of PA vote-by-mail-fraud. 10/12
Remind your Rep., that Act 77, which allows all PA residents to vote by mail, was a Republican led effort and voted in by a Republican majority. But now, the mail-in voting they fought for, only signed into law a year ago., is suddenly riddled with fraud? It’s not. 11/12
Trump has made apparent that he is soliciting GOP State office holders to help him pervert the election process, should he lose. The timing of this Resolution is not merely coincidental. We must let our voices be heard. 12/12
