Just think, if he gets the symptom where he loses his sense of taste he& #39;ll never be able to enjoy his shitty charred steaks with ketchup properly again.
Every bit of glee that can be extracted from Trump getting covid is tempered by the fact that he already lives an incredibly dull, anguished life.
"Oh no, he& #39;ll have to stay home watching TV all day."
"Oh no, he won& #39;t be able to hang out with his friends."
"Oh no, he& #39;ll be tired and frustrated all the time."
"Oh no, he won& #39;t be able to hang out with his friends."
"Oh no, he& #39;ll be tired and frustrated all the time."
A regular person getting covid is a tragedy because of all the vibrant experiences they& #39;ll miss. Trump& #39;s existence is already a grim slog through an endless gauntlet of people who, at best, merely tolerate him, surrounded by things he doesn& #39;t understand and would hate if he did.
A man who has no use for art or music, who chooses to eat bad meals, who even by his own empty measure is a failure, who is impressed by the loud and the crass and befuddled by the subtle and sublime.
The only president not to have a pet while in office. We think about that one a lot.
It& #39;s a given that a president is not going to have to feed and exercise his own pet if they don& #39;t want to. It costs them nothing: they just get to have a pet. Trump does not have a pet.
We would hazard a guess that it has never even occured to Donald Trump to have a pet.
Loving and caring for an animal is basically the most human thing someone can do. It& #39;s a distinguishing characteristic of our species that we instinctively bond with other animals, a relic of our co-evolution with them.
(There are many good reasons a person might not have a pet - we& #39;re not casting aspersions on non-pet owners. We already mentioned the costs of caring for one. That& #39;s valid. Our tortoise is very low-maintenance!)
But Trump& #39;s lack of a pet - despite the cost of having one being negligible for someone in his position - is somehow exactly what you expect from him. His life is just that hollow.
Having a pet doesn& #39;t automatically make you a good person, of course - Hitler had a dog - the point is that Trump& #39;s lack of one is symptomatic of who and what he is.
If you asked him if he wanted a dog as President he& #39;d probably reply, "Why?"
