In 2000 (March if I remember correctly), Lenny Kravitz did a tour of SA. I begged my parents to let me go to the concert and by some miracle they agreed.

It was my first unchaperoned concert. Just me and my girls! (It was still safe for 10 16 year old girls to go to a concert at Joburg Stadium alone in those days. I think. I& #39;m still here, right?!)

Anyways, we& #39;re at the concert. There were a few weird opening acts -... anyone? - and I fell in love with Lenny& #39;s drummer, Cindy Blackman
She& #39;s the most amazing. Seriously.

Then Lenny sang "Are you gonna go my way?" I remembered where my heart belongs and I was swept up in bliss...

And when the song stopped, there was a moment of silence before the band started "It ain& #39;t over till its over"...

I took the biggest breath I could and screamed out into that magical moment of silence "I LOVE YOU LENNY!"

Lenny looked right at me in the crowd and replied "I love you too, baby". And I was complete.
