I know everything is terrible and noise and that all voices are screaming loudly, but, just: As a historian, literally nothing is scarier than the president actively encouraging white supremacist electoral violence. I& #39;m not sure what we have to do, but we have to do more.

I don& #39;t mean in working for Biden to win. I mean in actively organizing to save lives and prevent violence.

I& #39;m especially terrified because in US history, the most effective force to stop white supremacist anti-democratic violence has been the federal government. We do not have that right now. I am concerned.

(I& #39;m not saying the US government has ever done enough. But in both Reconstruction and in the Civil Rights Movt, it was the only power that stemmed it.)
