This may sound overtly dramatic, unless you are familiar with the region and don’t support genocide.

In April 2016 during the Four Day War Azerbaijan captured the NE town of Talish for 1 day. Most of the population had evacuated, minus elders. All were executed + mutilated, including the pictured couple Valera & Razmela. All captured Armenian soldiers were beheaded or maimed 2/3
In 1997-2006, in another formerly disputed region, the AZ gov’t erased every trace of the indigenous Armenian heritage. 5,840 cross-stones, 89 churches, & over 22,000 tombstones were erased in Nakhchivan.
