I don& #39;t know who needs to hear this today, there are literally thousands of happy children & young people in the UK who happen to be transgender. They& #39;re loved by families & friends. They& #39;re supported to be who they are in school, university & work & they& #39;re doing amazing.

This is not to dismiss the inequalities that exist for trans people. Things can seem bleak when our media & our Government are determined to spread fear & mistrust, However they cant stop trans people who are changing the world, simply by living their best lives. #transkidsliving

This generation of trans youth have representation & role models. Trans people are living & thriving as writers, artists, helicopter pilots, tube drivers, academics, actors, archeologists, doctors, scientists, lawyers, social workers, teachers, racing car drivers, parents.

You can& #39;t hide that representation. It exists. Young people don& #39;t need to visit their library to look in medical dictionaries, or wait for fragments of (trans hostile) content in newspapers or on TV. The internet has enabled trans people to find people like them & find community
