If, when the dust finally settles and the pearls are unclutched, the bottom line of this story is "Rich businessman uses complex tax strategy to minimize amount of taxes owed," then we should go ahead and file that away next to "Sun rises in the east" and "Dog chases car."
And that being said, if the president or his children (looking at you, Ivanka) have broken the law or cheated the system on their taxes, then throw the book at them. No one should get to skate because of name or position.
