One of the biggest ways ‘imposters’ spread misinformation is by using fake personas to push propaganda.

These images are generated using StyleGAN2 via http://thispersondoesnotexist.com"> http://thispersondoesnotexist.com , and then assigned a unique profile of interests, careers, and other fun characteristics.

Whenever @thispersonsfake Tweets, the network generates a new ‘person’ from scratch.
