On court expansion, a couple of political thoughts.
1. We have to do it. There& #39;s not a single other recourse. And the signals from Biden and Schumer are clear enough. A wide swath of base from left to center will demand it. Win the Senate, expand the Court.

2. I& #39;d make it part of full expansion, modernization, and reform of the Federal court system - and wrap it firmly in the ideals of fairness, ethics, and justice reform that so many stand behind. Make it landmark, backed by the basis of a strong democracy.
3. Phase the expansion in. First, neutralize the two seats the Republicans criminally stole - two new Justices before the mid-terms. Then phase in four more after each election cycle, so the voters get a say - let& #39;s have some voting on it! I suspect this would benefit Dems.
4. Most important is the ethical basis for expansion - this is *unpacking* the Court, and expanding it to better reflect the diversity and complexity of modern nation with 330M people. Tell the story, sell the story. GOP& #39;s moves are cynical - expansion and reform are idealistic.
