As I said on FB: I wonder if JK Rowling realizes that a love of HARRY POTTER isn& #39;t a thing that just, like, is inherent in children. WE have made it cultural shorthand, which means we can UNMAKE it. And that& #39;s something she& #39;s going to have to reckon with in the next few years.
the last Harry Potter book came out in 2007. If you are 12, you weren& #39;t even born when it came out. This whole EVERY GENERATION LOVES IT ....... lol that& #39;s not how generations work, Joanne
HARRY POTTER lived on because it lived in the hearts of its adult fans (like...me) I cried, I literally cried tears, when I was at Wizarding World and we came around the corner and there was Hogwarts in the distance. I will never regret this. I will never forget how this felt.
but it is not the same in my heart anymore. My heart, in fact, is broken. And I am FAR from alone. And R/owling will just get more radical and push more people away.

Which means, bit by bit, Harry will begin to fade. That& #39;s just how it works when things break in people& #39;s hearts.
