Yes you can still meet people in public even though you can’t at someone’s house, but this makes sense because people are more likely to meet in bigger groups at their own homes whereas that isn’t allowed at pubs etc. It’s about minimising contact, not stopping it completely.

Also, I’m quite certain anyone in Nicola’s position would be giving the exact same guidance as she’s not just making this stuff up. She gets professional advice from professional healthcare staff.
